For our first DIY Hack, I’m going to show you a simple hack that will help out the tripod shooter.

I’ve tried and owned many types of straps, belts, and harnesses of the years.  Some where comfortable and elegant when others seem to be medieval torture.  After all that I find myself coming back to the classic neck strap again and again.  The only down side is when I use the camera on a tripod the strap can get in the way.  So searched for clips I could added on to my branded strap.  Luckily there was a US based ebay seller, di_oxide, who sells belts and camera clips. (I have no affiliation with the seller or their brand.)

I was pleased that not only did they have short clips I could buy but they also sold a metal version.  Within a matter minutes I was able to add the short metal clips to my existing camera neck strap.  Now I have the freedom to quickly remove the neck strap when on a tripod or walk around with the security of metal clips.  Look over the gallery of images to show you how I installed them.
